Who are we?

Hello, I’m Vickie and I started Elegance as a small decor and venue styling business way back in 2008 – where has the time gone?! I’d decorated my own wedding, then helped some friends style theirs and that sparked the start of something wonderful!

My husband, Andy, then joined me in 2011 as the business was growing and I needed help I could trust from someone who would care about each wedding as much as I do. People say it’s hard working with your partner, but we work so well together as we both have different qualities that make us stronger as a team (plus, he knows I’m the boss haha!). You’ll always see us together at wedding fairs and open evenings, and he’s my right-hand man at every wedding we decorate – he can tie a mean bow!

However, when it comes to planning all the lovely decor for your big day, it will be me that you’ll work with.  Having worked with soooo many couples over the years, I understand how stressful and overwhelming it can be trying to think of everything and get it just right. But, that’s what I’m here for – I’ll guide you through everything so you can relax, secure in the knowledge that your day is in the hands of people who really care.

Think of me as your wedding fairy godmother!  I’m here to take the stress and worry off

your shoulders so you can relax and sip champagne while we make your wedding dreams come true!

We both do this as our full time job, so the service that we offer and our reputation are everything to us. We really care about what we do and want every couple to be thrilled with what we do for them. We treat every wedding as if it was our own and don’t leave until everything is absolutely perfect!

On a more personal note, we’ve been married 20 years and we have two wonderful children and a King Charles called Rusty. We love spending time together as a family whether that be a trip to the cinema, a glamping holiday or a woodland walk with the dog (that’s Rusty’s favourite!).  I’m a bit camera shy, hence the picture of Rusty – but who doesn’t love a cute photo of a dog?

We’re based in Nottingham but work in and around the East Midlands including Nottingham, Derby, Rutland, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Quorn, Southwell, Worksop and many other areas in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, meaning that you don’t need to lift a finger. We’re also happy to travel further afield, so please do ask!

We were blown away by how accommodating Vickie and her team were. Nothing was too much trouble and Vickie was so enthusiastic and efficient despite being delayed in getting into the venue to decorate the night before. She and her husband just got straight on with decorating the room despite it being quite late and took the stress away from us. They were a delight to work with and we received so many compliments about how stunning our wedding decorations looked. Vickie and her husband are absolutely fantastic at what they do and nothing is too much! Superb customer service! I had Elegance booked to do my chair sashes, the best I’d seen, VERY neat bows! A week before the wedding I wanted to add a fairy light canopy to the inside of the marquee, it was no problem for these guys! The whole process was made so easy by their fabulous organisation and smiley faces! Thanks so much guys it looked mega!! xxx
